{"id":2302,"date":"2018-02-23T05:13:57","date_gmt":"2018-02-23T05:13:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/byrnecreek-scholarships\/?p=2302"},"modified":"2018-02-23T05:13:57","modified_gmt":"2018-02-23T05:13:57","slug":"2x1000-scholarships-for-students-in-the-health-sciences-field-trade-school-or-business-deadline-tuesday-april-10th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/byrnecreek-scholarships\/2018\/02\/23\/2x1000-scholarships-for-students-in-the-health-sciences-field-trade-school-or-business-deadline-tuesday-april-10th\/","title":{"rendered":"2x$1000 Scholarships for students in the Health Sciences field, Trade school or Business: Deadline Tuesday, April 10th"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada is proud to announce the launch of two (2) x $1,000 bursaries to Grade 12 students going into fulltime studies in the Health Sciences field in Post Secondary, Trade school or Business colleges.<\/p>\n<p>The following criteria are to be considered when completing the application.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students must be graduating from Grade 12.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the latest report card is required.<\/li>\n<li>The student must have a strong interest and be going into the Health Sciences field such as Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling in the Mental Health arena<\/li>\n<li>Include a resume of school\/community participation in Health-related activities and volunteering.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a letter from their school counsellor that reflects how the applicant models socially responsible behaviour.<\/li>\n<li>Consideration will be given to students who may suffer from financial hardship.<\/li>\n<li>The winners will be required to come to a presentation of the bursary at a fundraising event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application form (attached) will be available online on our website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmwac.ca\">www.cmwac.ca<\/a> or can be submitted by mail or fax.<\/p>\n<p>Details on the application include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The essay should contain 500-700 words.
