On August 30, 1995, Stacey was struck and killed by a car while jogging in North Toronto. She was only 18 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Stacey loved life, and this annual student award encourages Canadian youth to embody Stacey\u2019s qualities and ideals, and Parachute\u2019s overarching goal of a long life lived to the fullest, while maintaining an approach that is rooted in risk management and injury prevention.
