Today Arushi Raina spoke to Byrne Creek students about her new novel When Morning Comes.
The novel takes place during apartheid in South Africa on the cusp of the 1976 student-led Soweto Uprising. It follows four teenagers from very different backgrounds exploring issues of race and class.
Arushi grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and spoke about how the events and climate influenced her writing, as well as how she developed her story.
