\nTo be eligible for a City of Burnaby Bursary, students must meet
\nthe following criteria:
\n\u00bb Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of the City
\nof Burnaby;
\n\u00bb Be in Grade 12 and eligible to graduate (within the year
\nof application) from a public secondary school in Burnaby
\nSchool District 41;
\n\u00bb Be accepted to a program of studies at a post-secondary
\ninstitution in Canada, such as universities, community
\ncolleges, technical schools \u2013 proof of registration in a
\nminimum of three courses in a post-secondary institution
\nwill be required before any bursary award payment is
\nmade to a recipient;
\n\u00bb Preference will be given to a student who has participated
\nin a community program prior to graduating and can
\ndemonstrate outstanding community involvement and
\nvolunteerism; and,
\n\u00bb Students who demonstrate financial need (family income
