This year\u00a0the Kemper Human Rights Education Foundation<\/i><\/b>\u00a0(khref.org<\/a>)\u00a0<\/i><\/b>is offering prizes of\u00a0$2000, $750 and $250\u00a0<\/b>to high school students judged to have written the best answers to the following<\/p>\n

QUESTION:<\/b><\/p>\n

Does the distribution of income and wealth in your country and\/or between countries violate human rights and if so what can and should be done about it?<\/b><\/p>\n

CRITERIA<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>There are two contests: one for high school students in the U.S. and one for high school students who are citizens and residents of other countries.
\n2.\u00a0<\/b>Essays are due on or before December 10, 2021\u00a0<\/b>(Human Rights Day),
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Essays should be approximately\u00a02500 words in length and\u00a0<\/b>be\u00a0<\/b>submitted as a Microsoft Word attachment\u00a0<\/b>to:\u00a0kemperhumanrights@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>or by regular mail to: KHREF,\u00a0184 Fillow Street, Norwalk, CT 06850<\/span>.<\/b><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Essays will be judged according to how clearly and well they answer the question posed and the extent to which they are supported by research.
\n5.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Submissions should include a\u00a0cover page\u00a0<\/b>with the:\u00a0title\u00a0<\/b>of the essay,\u00a0author\u2019s name and grade level<\/b>, the\u00a0name and address of the author\u2019s high school<\/b>, the\u00a0name of a teacher or administrator\u00a0<\/b>at the high school and the following\u00a0statement signed by the author\u00a0and\u00a0<\/i>author\u2019s parent or guardian<\/b>: \u201cI give the Kemper Human Rights Education Foundation permission to publish this essay.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
