Half are valued at $100,000 for engineering scholarships and half are valued at $80,000* for science and math scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply\u00a0<span class=\"wrapless\">for the scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schulichleaders.com\/\">https:\/\/www.schulichleaders.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduating high school in 2020\/2021<\/li>\n<li>Canadian citizen or permanent resident<\/li>\n<li>Plan to enrol in an eligible STEM program at one of their partner universities<\/li>\n<li>Academic excellence and leadership, charisma and creativity (strong consideration is given to those with financial need)<\/li>\n<li>Be entrepreneurial minded and intend to pursue a career in one of the following areas:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Technology<\/li>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurship and business enterprise<\/li>\n<li>Applied scientific research<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>They are NOT considering students who:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Focus on activism (environmental\/political\/societal)<\/li>\n<li>Intend to become a practicing physician or medical researcher<\/li>\n<li>Intend to become a professor and conduct theoretical research<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Alpha Secondary can nominate ONE student for this award.
