{"id":3739,"date":"2020-09-23T13:58:38","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T20:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/?p=3739"},"modified":"2020-09-23T13:58:38","modified_gmt":"2020-09-23T20:58:38","slug":"horatio-alger-scholarships-canadian-and-entrepreneurial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/2020\/09\/23\/horatio-alger-scholarships-canadian-and-entrepreneurial\/","title":{"rendered":"Horatio Alger Scholarships &#8211; Canadian and Entrepreneurial"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"redtext\">Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarships<\/h2>\n<h4><strong>160 $5,000<\/strong> Scholarships Awarded<br \/>\nFunded through the generosity of the Members of the Canadian Association<\/h4>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">The Canadian Scholarships are awarded to eligible students across all provinces and territories in Canada.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">\n<h3 class=\"redtext\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be graduating high school (or be in the final year of CEGEP) with plans to enter university in the fall of 2021<\/li>\n<li>Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor\u2019s degree program at an accredited university<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate critical <strong>financial need<\/strong> ($65,000 or less annual net income per family is required)<\/li>\n<li>Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities<\/li>\n<li>Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65<\/li>\n<li>Attend high school (or CEGEP) and reside in Canada<\/li>\n<li>Be Canadian citizens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"redtext\">Horatio Alger National Entrepreneurial Scholarships<\/h2>\n<h4><strong>10 $10,000<\/strong> Scholarships Awarded<br \/>\nFunded through the generosity of the Members of the Horatio Alger Association of Canada<\/h4>\n<div id=\"stcpDiv\">The National Entrepreneurial Scholarships are awarded to eligible students across all provinces and territories in Canada.
