Scholarships\u202fare available\u202ffor every student!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scholarships are commonly awarded on the basis of\u202facademic excellence<\/strong>\u202fand outstanding school or\u202fcommunity service<\/strong>, but there are also many scholarships for students who excel in\u202fathletics<\/strong>, or\u202f\u00a0fine arts<\/strong>,\u202f trades<\/strong>\u202f or\u202f\u00a0applied skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Volunteering<\/strong>\u00a0and community\/school involvement is important for both academic and non academic scholarships. Universities and post secondary schools are looking for well- rounded students- students who get involved, do extra curricular activities, and do well in their course work.\u00a0If you haven\u2019t been volunteering, get started now and start accumulating those hours!<\/p>\n

Students are urged to complete Alpha\u2019s\u202fStudent-Profile-2020-2021<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>early in the school year to maximize their eligibility for the wide array of scholarships available for post-secondary education.\u202f Submit your profile in the “Alpha Grads 2021” Team on Office 365 by the end of November.\u202f You can update and resubmit your profile – in fact, you are encouraged to do so for accuracy.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are several ways to get information about scholarships\u2026..<\/p>\n

  1. Join Alpha\u2019s scholarship blog for all updated scholarship information.<\/li>\n
  2. Check with the university or college you are interested in attending to find out about their scholarship program.<\/li>\n
  3. Treat your scholarship search like a part time job \u2013 commit and show up! Spend a couple hours a week searching and completing applications.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
