{"id":3909,"date":"2021-10-04T09:24:15","date_gmt":"2021-10-04T16:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/?page_id=3909"},"modified":"2022-03-03T09:52:14","modified_gmt":"2022-03-03T17:52:14","slug":"2021-2022","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/2021-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"District Scholarships &#8211; 2021\/2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>District Scholarship Applications are now available!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>To qualify for a District Scholarship you must complete and submit your Personal Profile (through Teams), complete each application that you are interested in and ensure that you submit all additional documents that are required.<\/p>\n<p><em>For example: BASES Scholarship requires the following documents<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(All of which need to be subitted to Ms.Gillam)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>a cover letter stating why you are a suitable candidate for this scholarship<\/em><br \/>\n<em>a copy of your Grade 11 and 12 transcript<\/em><br \/>\n<em>resume<\/em><br \/>\n<em>a reference letter(s) to support your volunteer experience<\/em><br \/>\n<em>a reference letter(s) to support your leadership in the community<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">You may use the same reference letter for multiple applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications\/Documents must be submitted to Ms. Gillam by March 31st, 2022.<\/strong> You can submit through email (prefered) or hand in to Ms. Gillam in Student Servies.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>List of Scholarships &#8211; Criteria &amp; Application. Please read through criteria carefully.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>BASES &#8211; <\/strong>The Burnaby Association of Senior Exempt Employees (BASES) Scholarship, worth $1,000, is awarded annually to a well-rounded SD41 \u2013 Burnaby student.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/files\/2022\/03\/CRITERIA-SCHOOL-HANDOUT-BASES-SCHOLARSHIP-1.docx\">CRITERIA SCHOOL HANDOUT &#8211; BASES SCHOLARSHIP<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/alpha-scholarships\/files\/2022\/03\/APPLICATION-BASES-COMMUNITY-LEADER-SCHOLARSHIP-1.docx\">APPLICATION &#8211; BASES COMMUNITY LEADER SCHOLARSHIP<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chad Turpin Scholarship<\/strong> &#8211; The Burnaby Association of Senior Exempt Employees (BASES) has created the Chad Turpin Scholarship, to recognize the contributions to the City of Burnaby by former Deputy City Manager Chad Turpin. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership skills and\/or additional responsibilities.
