\u2018When you ask people what happened to Andie Bell, they\u2019ll tell you without hesitation:<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe was murdered by Salil\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Singh.<\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

No \u201callegedly\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

No \u201cmight <\/span><\/i>have\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

No \u201cprobably\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

No \u201cmost likely.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

He did it, they say. Sal killed Andie.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

But I\u2019m not so sure.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Seventeen-year-old<\/span>\u00a0Pippa \u2018Pip\u2019 Fitz-Amobi is your ideal high school student. An overac<\/span>hiever, workaholic,<\/span>\u00a0clean record, good student. So, it\u2019s a big surprise\u00a0<\/span>when she decides to solve a murder that occurred 5 years ago for her senior capstone project.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pip\u00a0<\/span>starts to\u00a0<\/span>delve deeper into the past,<\/span>\u00a0uncovering<\/span>\u00a0the secrets and the real players behind the murders of Sal and Andie<\/span>\u00a0that someone wants to desperately keep hidden. And if the real murderer is out there, still alive, how far will they go to\u00a0<\/span>quiet Pip and let their secrets die with them?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I originally picked up this book at<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the Alpha school library because of the cover. \u2018Red string, white paper and an ominous title? Seems like the read for me!\u2019 I was attracted to the\u00a0<\/span>title, the description and the cover art.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shallow, I know.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And so, I curled up in the corner of my bed, picked up the book and started to read, with\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Throne of Glass\u2019 beside me as a backup<\/span>\u00a0in case the book ended up being a dud<\/span>. But as I burned through the pages, and started to read see the mystery unfold, I was wholly, undoubtedly,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hooked.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The character arcs and design themselves are\u00a0<\/span>magnificent<\/span>. It\u2019s obvious th<\/span>at the author hasn\u2019t used any cookie-cutter templates or created any Mary Sues-they’re all beautifully original.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the plot. Oh, the plot is a piece of art! Chef\u2019s kiss<\/span>! Fantastique!\u00a0<\/span>The plot<\/span>\u00a0is well-developed and interesting-lots of plot twists and scares.\u00a0<\/span>The mystery that is embedded into the book is\u00a0<\/span>cleverly<\/span>\u00a0made, that one could only say that is immaculate.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even after\u00a0<\/span>rereading it multiple times, I can say confidently that I cannot find any faults in this book. Everything,\u00a0<\/span>from the plot<\/span>\u00a0to the characters, to the mystery is so intricate and perfect that there cannot<\/span>\u00a0be any faults.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I rate this book a 10\/10 and whole-heartedly recommend this book to anyone, whether it be fantasy fans, sci-fi, fans, romance fans, but especially mystery and drama fans.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Actually, scratch<\/span>\u00a0that, any YA reader, PLEASE read this book.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
